Your legal problem.
Made clearer.
ABL — Ask Baby Lawyer — is building an AI-powered legal information and document platform that helps people understand the law, spot issues in everyday documents, and find the right legal help when they need it.
I can explain the general legal rules that may apply, ask a few questions about your situation, and show you when it may be important to speak to a qualified lawyer.

BUILT FOR AFRICA
You have a legal problem. What do you do next?
For many people, legal information is difficult to find, difficult to understand, or only becomes accessible after a problem has already become serious.
Too complex
Legislation, contracts and legal processes are rarely written for ordinary people. ABL turns complex information into clear, plain-language explanations.
Too expensive
People often hesitate to seek legal help because they don't know whether their problem is serious enough to justify the cost.
Too fragmented
Finding the right law, institution or lawyer can mean navigating multiple disconnected systems. ABL is designed to be the first place people start.

From “I have a legal problem” to “I know what to do next.”
ABL is being designed as a legal knowledge and navigation layer — not a replacement for qualified lawyers.
Ask ABL
Ask questions in everyday language and receive structured legal information, relevant questions, practical next steps and clear explanations.
Document review
Paste a redacted clause or excerpt for an AI-generated summary, important wording, points to check, and questions for a lawyer. File upload is planned for later.
Language & voice
Make legal information more accessible through translation and audio, with additional African languages introduced over time.
Lawyer escalation
When a matter needs professional legal advice or representation, ABL can guide the user toward an appropriate qualified legal professional.
Ask ABL.
Ask everyday legal questions in Nigerian English or Pidgin. AI-generated information may be wrong, incomplete, or outdated. ABL is not a lawyer and does not give legal advice.
We're starting with high-frequency problems people face in everyday life — contracts, housing, employment, money, family and interactions with institutions.
Your conversation stays in this tab's memory while it is open; each question and recent context is sent to our AI service and its providers to generate an answer. See our Privacy Notice and Beta Terms.
To improve this beta, we count daily anonymous totals for selected legal topic, language, recognised Nigerian state (if provided), and whether ABL suggested a lawyer. We do not save question text or conversation history for analytics.
This page does not save conversations between visits. Close or refresh the tab to clear the on-screen history. Hosting and AI providers may process and retain request data under their own applicable policies.
Understand. Explore. Prepare. Connect.
